Wiring Camper Shell Brake Light

Wiring Camper Shell Brake Light
Hi All,
I am new to the forum but not new to F-150's. I have a 2001 supercab XLT shortbed and just bought a camper shell. I would like to know if anyone knows the process to wire the brake light on the camper shell. I believe there is a wire bundle under the truck that I may need to tap into.
Thanks,
Barry

I had an older Leer top that ran 2 wires from the 3rd brake light on the camper top back to the cab, where you could tap into the 3rd brake light on the cab (and you could remove the bulb, because it would be a waste. Yea, the wires would show between the cab and the camper top, but it would be functional. It is possible that the previous owner ran this as a jury rig, and I added to it by taking the bed lights and running it to a fixture in the camper. So, you may not have to chase anything in a harness under the truck.

Thanks, I have 2 or 3 wires with spade lugs on each end running down along the camper shell door. I have a brake light and an interior dome light. I will have to see what the wiring configuration is under the truck to see if I can coonnect these wires. No big deal if I get this working or not, but will give it a shot.
