Default Winch question

Best place to mount a winch on the front of my truck without getting a brush guard or anything? I already have a light bar on the bumper right underneath the Ford logo. Should I even mount a winch like that?

Get a hidden winch mount between the front frame rails.

Go on my profile page on here and look for user 4x4wolf he has a green reg cab with that mount. I am pretty sure he got a 9500 lb in there.

A related and important extraction note: The two tow hooks on light duty 4x4 trucks are not designed to be ******-em strapped out by only one hook, never! Your supposed to use a, say 10 ft. strap hooked to both truck hooks, then (using a clevis), attach your main strap to the center of the 10 ft. strap and tow or ****** from there in a (Y) configuration. Trucks tow hooks have been known to break off and launch through the air, very dangerous!
