What headers? I don't see no stinking headers. That would be real bright not to include that in the question lol. Nothing would work, -factory cats are too long for the 4x4's w/LT's.

Without headers, yes it will work. Not a direct fit maybe, but you'll have enough room/options for it to work...Unless he's afraid of breaking a nail or something ?

Common, give the guy some credit lol.

My pace setters are 4.6/5.4 headers.

In the past, there's been a few that's had problems w/the 4.6L 4X4's trucks. = Driive-shaft interference.

Jefk, you'll have to check at Pacesetter Site. Different deck heights between the 5fours and 4sixes (it's only about an 1" if that). It's enough to cause that problem for the 4six 4x.

If Pacesetter has a set for you, it will have a different part # compared to the 5four set. It's DEFINITELY worth calling them over..you know, before you purchase, if that's the case.

What people were doing is denting in one of the primary's in order for them to fit. You don't want to resort to that. Keep in mind, this was attempting to install a 5four set on a 4wd w/4six. The 2wd 4sixes have been interchangeable in the past w/5fours, but not if the 4six was 4wd.

Call them when the time comes, -or go OBX.

Well, if they have such limited comprehension skills, perhaps they shouldn't be in customer service. Ask to speak with someone else, someone with AT LEAST half a brain.

shifty_85(f150online)says he's done it to his 2wd 4.6 with 4x4 5.4 headers, if you or someone can back up that up, i might go at the obx's on ebay the time might come pretty soon if it works like this

Yea, I know shifty. Actually I recall when he did it. Maybe, 4 years ago ? It was a while ago.

Doesn't matter if I can back that up, -he has a different truck than you do.

Yea shifty is close...too close!

So what, you don't have a 4x4 now? Is that deal?

Worst thing about this place, that I haven't seen before, hardly no one has their truck description by their pictures. Man does that make it a PITA. Like it's some sort of BIG secret lol.

Yea like I've already said..twice! 5four headers WILL FIT the 4six IF your not 4wd. I described the problem in DETAIL earlier in this thread.
