Default Wierd clicking sound when stopping

As the title says it only happens when stopping. But the weird thing is it doesn't happen while applying the brakes to slow down it only happens right before comming to a complete stop and then there will be 2 to 3 kinda loud ( I can hear it inside with windows up) clicks. at first I thought it was the brakes so I checked them out. I didn't see anything so I took it to 2 different brake shops and oddly enough they didn't find anything either. But a guy at one of the shops suggested to check the u joints. Would the u joints going bad make a sound similar to this ? Or could it be something else? If so what? Any ideas would be very helpful. If I know what's broke I can usually fix it, it's that whole trouble shooting thing that troubles me.

I've got mabye the same thing or something similar comming from the drivers rear tire when I slow to or coast around 10 mph or less... I think it's a part tossing around behind the brake rotor but I haven't been able to get that off to see. Seems that at higher speed centrifugal force keeps it form rattling around.

possible u joints. get under and test them. Have seen other post making reference to the E brake making the clicking at lower speeds(parts inside broken loose)

Well I went out and gave the drive shaft a few good shacks and yes there was some movement so I will be replacing them this weekend. Just seems weird to me that a u joint could be whats making the click when coming to a stop. Hopefully thats all that it is.

Test them,
apply the brakes,
shift slowly from N to D, D to N then R slowly, repeat.
Should hear about the same clicking noise.
How many miles?
If it is the U Joints, get the greasable ones.
