Default Why does my A/C cut off and stay off when I accelerate?

I'll be driving along with my air conditioner on, blowing cold, feels great. Then I go to pass someone on the interstate, BAM! Hot outside air. Sometimes simply turning the control dial for the A/C off then back on makes it blow cold again, but sometimes it doesnt come back on at all. Ive heard from many V8 owners both experienced and not, that the A/C is SUPPOSED to kick off to divert more power to the motor for the sudden acceleration, but when done accelerating its supposed to kick back on... But mine will NOT come back on unless the switch is turned on/off 2-3 times, if not more or at all.

So far my only suggestions have been "change the relay" and "take to ____ for a diagnosis" Anyone had a similar problem and/or a suggestion?

THATS whats been causing this? ...how convenient, I just had my codes read yesterday and the results said I had a vacuum leak ._.

The other two codes were emission related, but I can explain those... >_>

Thank you westtnfx4!

You welcome! Check around the TB all the way over to the fire wall and around/behind the battery...also under the dash behind the control panel.

Yes and while he's there have him test the freon levels in your system to...you also could be a little low on that as well. Also There's a blend door actuator under the dash that don't work right when vaccume levels ar low(leak).
