where are the freeze plugs on my 97 4.2 motor

Both sides of block, just below where the heads bolt on. There could also be some located at front and back of each head.

Neighbors think I am wacko, its been three trips to look at truck. I see two plugs each side above pan and below heads. I also see one on for each bank at front of engine. No wires in mine at all. Perhaps someone installed a block heater or it came from ford that way.

mine probly think the same.haha. are they like quarter dollar size or quarter. i dont know if what i am looking at is right but are they just flat round things with no bolts on the outside.
