Default sluggish at lower rpm

I've had the expy a while now but haven't driven it much until recently one short trip and to work and back this week. I'm noticing it have no power until the rpms get up over 2000 then takes off great seams to be getting worse it feels like a load attached. I've read about TPS maybe? seams to run and idle great no check engine lights. 2000 5.4 140k miles no scanner yet?

Does it sputter or just refuse to accelerate?

Maybe the VSS is messing up, causing erratic shifting points. Is the speedometer doing anything weird? I'd run a scan, even if there is no CEL lighted. It could be a stored code, that doesn't set the CEL immediately.

Hmmm the vss will probably swap over too just to see if that's where the problem is.

JP's right. That is the same VSS sensor on the diesel as on his 5.4. He's got everything at his disposal.

Thanks Guys cleaned the throttle body, MAS and changed the TPS last night and all good. thing must have been acting up since I bought it, the spring inside was worn and just getting worse have more power now than I thought it would, shifting returned to normal after a short drive. $32 well spent, it didn't have any stored codes.
