Wheel and Tire Upgrade , Your thoughts?
Tried to keep within a low budget for the old truck, but giving it a decent ride/new look. I ended up ordering BF Goodrich tires 285/70/r17 and purchased the Vision Warrior 17s. Hopefully this will be a good combination.
While I wait for them to be delivered...I have to order some lug nuts. From what I searched, it seems that 14x2 are the correct lug nuts for the 2000 F150. I am hoping to get some input from those that have the wheel or have the knowledge to guide me to what lug nuts to buy. Thanks in advance pointing me in the direction. Would love to order today so they are delivered in time.

In the middle of the 2000 model year assembly, the lugs were changed from 12 to 14mm. Usually you can take your lug nuts off and it will tell you what size it is.
If you're spending money, why not get the wheels that fit your truck? Those a 6 lug wheels.

Thanks for the reply. I linked to the wrong one...was just trying to link to the photo of the actual rim. How about this? :-)

Not yet. I live in one of those houses where the wife and kid drive the truck and I only see when it is time to do some maintenance or put gas it in it.
I am expecting her home soon so I will take a look.

I took a look at the lug nuts, around the edge it says something like Metric Class 10 100 foot pounds of torque and a random 11
Build date is 9/99

For anyone reading this thread looking for new wheels and tires --
I learned a little trick a few years back when trying to buy speciality wheels. eBay has hundreds of wheel and tire shop sellers that have wheels in their inventories that you wouldn't be able to get online. Just have to contact them individually, not through eBay. My last set had a 4month back order and had them within two weeks. Worth checking out.
