expedition/F150 Tranny interchange

expedition/F150 Tranny interchange
Hey all,
I need to find out if the F150 and Expedition both of which have 4.6 V8 have the same transmission. I can get one for my truck for a good price however the place that has it says the F150 and the expedition have a slight difference in the transmission internaly. Can anyone verify if this transmission will work. both trucks are the same year and have the same 4.6 engine and the same automatic transmission. I just wanting someone to comfirm what my research tells me before i buy the transmission.

HI Guys: I have a 97 F150 4.2 v6 with the 4r70w Transmission and I would like to buy and install a trans & converter from an 04 f150 that has an old style 4r70w with 26,00 mi. 4.6L. Will this bolt up and plug in? Thanks. We have an 08 4.2L v6 that we are installing and want to upgrade the trans.
