Default What'd you pay for your lift?

Trying to get some numbers rearranged for my 6 inch lift tires gears etc etc and was wondering if you guys could just tell me what you paid for your suspension lifts installed.

I called a couple shops and only one would give me an actual price estimate the rest basically told me to screw off unless im buying it right now.

At Capt-It, Fort St. John, BC, Canada, I was quoted:

Part Number Description Ordered Back
Ordered
List Price TotalTax
SKYF9701KS 97-03 F150 SKYJACKER 6" LIFT 1.0 3,350.00 3,350.00 3,350.00 H
INSTALL INSTALLATION OF SKYJACKER LIFT 14.0 90.00 90.00 1,260.00 H
DIC1179452 DC2 BLACK 17X9 5-135MM 4.0 225.00 225.00 900.00 H
RIC6903121 RICHMOND GEAR 4.56 FRONT AND REAR
CROWN AND PINION GEAR SET
2.0 345.00 345.00 690.00 H
RIC8310431 RICHMOND GEAR FRONT AND REAR INSTALL
KIT FOR NEW GEAR SET
2.0 175.00 175.00 350.00 H
ARBRD81 RD81 FORD 8.8 31 SPLIN 1.0 1,260.00 1,260.00 1,260.00 H
ARBRD82 RD82 FORD 8.8 28 SPLIN 1.0 1,260.00 1,260.00 1,260.00 H

The last number before the H is the value of said charge in Canadian dollars. There is 12% added in sales tax to the total.

I'm in a kind of frontier boom town per se, so the price may be inflated, but that's the free market.

Dang just the skyjacker lift is 3.3k? Mind if I ask why you picked that lift over something cheaper like a fabtech or pro comp?

The price is grossly inflated! I'm in Alberta and have seen prices of truck stuff well working in fort Mac. And it's ridiculous as well!

Don't worry, I can't get the truck in until February. Plenty of time to save up.

Procomp doesn't list one for my truck on their site, so I didn't look at them.

BDS and Fabtech just didn't get the same reviews, both published and personally enquired, as Skyjacker. I've ridden in a few vehicles (mostly Jeep and Dodge) with Skyjacker suspension lifts and have been very impressed with their offroad handling. BDS users complained of shimmies and poor handling, which may be the installer, the lift, or the fussy driver, but BDS was the common denominator.

Edit: BC is expensive and overregulated which will only get worse when the NDP wins the next election. I'd move to Alberta but the hunting there just doesn't compare in terms of terrain, bag limits, and huntable species.

Cheapest 6 inch lift I have seen for this year 4x4 trucks are by zone offroad. They run about 1200-1300 buvks without shipping but I believe they are a vendor on here and were doing a deal on free shipping for members. Heard pretty good stuff about that them too, its what im planning on getting when I get the money
