Hey guys, i have 1999 F150 5.4 and ive gotten it up to about 280 HP with CAI and exhaust, so now im thinking about a tuner. ive looked at SCT, Superchips, and Hypertech. but it dosent say how much horsepower i would actually gain. So what is the best Tuner for a 1999 5.4 2 valve automatic. and how much horsepower should i realistically expect to gain.

A SCT tune will net you about 22-25 horses to the wheels and 20-24 torque on a stock 99 5.4

I also would like to know. What about superchips and others? And he forgot one the edge/gryphon

Go with SCT and never look back! Best investment, minus gears I've ever made. SCT has a lot more upgrades and tunes available over edge or superchips.

Can't say for other brands simply as I don't carry/use them. I do know my SCT tuners specs though. :-)
