You don't have to run true duals to have two pipes exiting out the back. You can run a single in dual out muffler. True duals are actually a real headache to do on these trucks.

I am well aware of that.. I've changed my exhaust about 4 times and finally stuck with duals exiting out the back..

And I didnt think it was to much of a hassle, the hardest part is getting them over the rear axle away from the shocks, you have to do that regardless with rear exiting duals.

What did you do about the gas tank being in the way? Just curious because a lot of shops told
Me true duals would be a pain in the *** because of where the gas tank was.

It's ran on the passenger side of the truck, where the channel leads back to the factory muffler location. I use to work at a muffler shop, so a hydraulic pipe is priceless!

The pipes are about 1/2 inch apart when it runs down the length of the truck until they split (about a ft before the axle). I had to use some high density rubber to clap between them to keep them from rattling.

My longtube setup is a true dual setup, but it goes to a X-pipe then feeds a DI/DO Bassani muffler using a lightning style exit. But i'm currently running the stock y-pipe because I crunch up some header offroad. So until I replace them I'm gonna stick with my stock stuff.
