yea they are pretty expensive around socal. I'm going to offer 35 if i like what I see when I test drive it. What in particular should I be looking for? Failure wise?

The One and Only
The description says complete head gasket overhaul, might want to do some asking there, see if dealer did it, or Joe blo in his garage. See if it was done by a person who knows what/how to do......other than that looks real nice, a little pricey to me too, but hey if thats what they go for in your area then it may be a good buy.

It is a good looking truck. The longbed supercab is really handy I have one just like it.
I like it for the most part. If it has the 5.4 I think you should get them down to 2800 or 2900 max. Also depends if it has a suspension lift or a body lift. If it is a body lift then it is definitely overpriced. If you want a point of reference I got my 97 2wd supercab long bed xlt with the 5.4 at approx 160k for $1400. I live in PA but I dont think the price should vary that much. Then again mine didnt have a lift or rims with big tires. But hey if you have the money and you think you can get another 50k miles out of that truck then go for it. The only problem with hi mileage trucks is you never know when something could go wrong. It could take you another 100k or it could crap out on out in 2k, you never know. It all depends on the previous owners.
Also dont forget to ask about the spark plugs. They are one of the main faults in these f150s. And the rear window leak.

nice looking truck, and if they charge from what the state of texas told me about my little truck then that doesn't seem like a bad price if the motor's still good
P.S. Texas charged me taxes on what they said my truck was work $3,660
