Ha! I wish. Got the passenger side done but one stud broke inside the head and I tried to drill it but broke bits inside it etc. So I wasn't able to put a bolt in the hole so I had to rig up a plate of steel to hold it down from another bolt on the block. Not sure how we'll it will work but it's the only option I had. I got the drivers side manifold off just have to take two more studs out and remove the oil dipstick tube which snapped inside the block. This is certainly not a fun job...

Ouch... try heating up the nuts with a torch and then cranking on them with a socket or gear wrench. Space is tight so I doubt you can get an impact in there. You'll get it man, just keep your nose in there and get er done.

Actually got all the nuts off without a torch I either cut then off with a Dremel and the other half of them twisted off with the studs in them. Hopefully I'll get everything finished up tomorrow. Thanks for the support!

Sounds like you made some good progress though. I think you might get stuck on the dipstick tube depending on how much is broken off. Try to get an EZ out in there (sometimes called bolt extractor) and grip it then wrench it out. Otherwise you will have to drop the oil pan.

Yeah the dipstick tube is being a big pain. It's broken off about 1/4 away from the block. It's lose enough were I can grab it with vice grips and twist it left and right but I can't pull it out its stuck in there real good I guess. I may try the easy out tomorrow though hate to have to drop the oil pan. Do our oil pans have reusable gaskets?
