I guess we'll see eh?

If it's jacked up I am gonna throw a junkyard motor in it and rebuild this one...

Being an old garage monkey I'm kinda over the top on checking after an oil change. Guess it goes back to the cartridge filters with o-rings.
Change oil, check it.
Run it, check it.
Drive it, check it.
On every car that came in.

That's good! I have to check mine. It'll rust shut if I don't.

We had a tank at the garage for waste oil. The new stuff went in a pipe to the bottom. After a week end we could scoop clear oil off the top. Free oil for our junk cars.

Sedimentation or contaminated oil is heavier. The good stuff is at the top. That would be my guess anyway.

Oil and crap will separate, just like peanut butter if left untouched will have oil on top and peanut butter under it

That's about it. Shows the improvement in oil as it doesn't work today.

You can measure contamination in your vehicles oil in a that way as well. If you drain it into a clear jug. It'll settle and divide.

If your going for an analysis, best way, drain into a clear jug, give it a shake before retrieving a specimen to send in.

I added a keyless entry pad so I dont have to keep my bundle of keys in my pocket for hours on end working in the woods.
