I guess I'll be taking these off now.. :0/ I actually kind of liked them. Does anyone know if they actually served a purpose?

Driving with the window cracked when raining, and being able to leave them cracked when it rains. I love mine

There's none of that for me. The A/C is either on or the windows are completely down. I spent too many years in Iraq to deal with in between weather. lol.

I think their main purpose was to allow you to leave the windows cracked open to vent out heat without rain being able to get in if it rained while the windows were cracked open

Thats what I used mine for. If im leaving my truck in the sun any day above 80* they are cracked. Makes cool down time so much faster.

I do the same. This plus a windshield shade make a noticeable difference in the interior heat when I get in during the summer.
Plus I like the look of my truck better. I took mine off when they cracked thinking I did not want them, but once they were off, I did not think it looked right. Found a set on e-bay for $20 shipped and have been happy with them.

My cousin (who owned the truck before me) used them to crack the windows open while he smoked.

Yeah, I always forget to leave them cracked open, which sucks, but if it rains, my driver side window vent leaks a little bit because the adhesive holding it on the door has separated in a few small spots. Just need to take them off and put them back on with some new adhesive. But it's still better than if there were no window shades at all, and it rained with the windows cracked open some. The. It would be a little wet inside the truck.

I really want to put that peal & seal stuff inside my truck so I can see how much of a difference it makes. It can only improve as far as how loud the road noise is inside the truck while going down the road.

And STILL need to get my headliner recovered and back into the truck. Along with the visors too. I keep forgetting to call the local upholstery shop to get a quote on how much it'll cost to get the headliner and visors recovered, then go get it done.
