I work at a Ford dealership so I am getting new rotors and pads installed as well as new u-joints while I'm working. Motorcraft pads now have a lifetime free replacement so this will be the first and last set of pads I buy

They must have really stepped it up a notch..OEM has always been the worst you can do as far as brakes...rotors as well.

The only way to get away from that was to upgrade to a heavier or larger rotor and better pads. I haven't had any problems since, but before that, seemed my brake components were short lived.

A little advice, change the brake lines as well, all three. With good brakes you need good lines. Factory lines break down quickly from the inside out. Flushing your fluid also makes a big difference.

LOL.. They have had that for a longtime. You actually have to read the fineprint on the box.. It only applies to manufacturer defects. Its a ploy to get people in the door.

I was going to say, it seems fishy someone would offer a lifetime guarantee on something that is designed to be used up completely. It's like offering a lifetime replacement on a tube of toothpaste... That would be a hell of a deal tho

That would've been sweet! I wasn't denying the deal was there it just seems like a losing proposition for the manufacturer lol
