Oh. How does the chattering sound? Is it loud or what? And I think one of the bearings in back of my truck is going bad cause when driving it at lower speeds with the windows down you can hear one squeaking when you drive past something for the sound to bounce off of. Hope it never fails on me but I think one is failing though.
its pretty much a hollow metal knock almost. a bearing will howl more than it will squeak. that sounds more u-joint or bushing related.

Oh okay. Well I need to replace my u-joints anyways so I just need to measure the outer diameter of the needle bearing caps so I can figure out what u-joints I need to buy.

What did you do to your truck today?
it's bearings were shot and howling... only has 385k on it now to pack up for the coulee run tomorrow
