My truck didn't come with a key for the back cover. So I keyed my back cover so I can use the truck key.
It would have been a little easier if I had a milling machine to do the milling out of the key slot. But I got by with a 1/8" bit in a electric hand drill.
Got 4 or the 6 dogs to work after widening the gap in them.

well got my new handle with the keypad installed. The cable coming out of keypad is way to short though to get to the other connector down near speaker . Unless someone has a better idea I'm probably gonna have to extend it out which will be a load of fun.
