Had to work on my truck today. Would not start this morn when time to go to work. Ended up being a bad starter and starter solenoid after hours of tracing schematics in 15 degree weather. Starter solenoid replaced maybe the starter tomorrow if all goes right in the cold between working and warming up to go out again until it is finished.

In the hole. Sorry, that was just too perfect. Anyway, just the little hole that your trans dip stick goes in.

I retuned the trans on the 97. A few minor tweaks that seemed to help fuel economy a little bit and makes it easier to drive in traffic.

What did you do? Change shift points? Or what? Your 97 has the e4od right?

Yes I have E4OD. It is beefier than a 4R100. I changed when the converter locks up. I didn't change the shift points but changed the timing and pressures of the shift points.

Ahh okay. What does changing when the converter locks up do? And my e4od has been giving me some hard shifts lately... :/

It's been rebuilt several years ago.

dopewaffle quick question for ya, do you know if the volume off **** on the cobra actually turns off the cb or just mutes the system? Trying to figure out if I need to wire a relay to the ignition power. I don't want the cb on 24/7 when the vehicle is turned off
