Not saying what he says is the law of the land, but he seems pretty knowledgeable. Not only that, but there is this site saying they are interchangeable as well.

These springs came off of a '98 F-250 LD, and are going on a '97 F-150. Same width as my current ones, close in length, but remember mine have the load of the truck on them and are bad.

You only say that because you haven't had any other set ups

Not on my truck but I've heard other setups in person. I've heard other 10th gen f150s with stock mufflers and the mufflers sound different on the 99-03 trucks from what I've heard in person. Idk if they changed the mufflers up some or what, but mine did sound different. It doesn't sound like just air sucking through a vacuum, it actually has some motor sound to it lol

Hello everyone. I have just bough a 97 f150 extended cab step side 4.6 2wd lariat.....or it was anyway. It has a lot of details to fix. Today I fixed the passenger side power mirror, turns out it was unplugged behind the motor. Also the little white plastic with gears on the driver side fell off so I put one on. the bolt on the handle on passenger side was stripped so had to get new one. Bulbs on dome lights all 3. Coin tray light , glove compartment light. Still need dash lights replace along with all the plastic peices around the dash. Bought stock 3 spoke wheel to make it a full size spare. So much to do still.
