Lol yeah it was mainly a test of the system because I'm doing the side markers on my 75 like that. It only took about an hour or so to do though so not terrible, just getting the wires trough the door boot took patience

Thats why I have not tried to get power to the rear doors yet, it looks like too much of a pain in the butt to get the wires through that wire boot.

I had looked at putting some kind of puddle light under the mirror a while back but decided not to (wiring and mounting access for the light, but those surface mount LED's you used for puddle lights may work for that).

And people that do mods like this are the ones who genuinely care about their trucks. You're not likely to buy it like that. And you're not likely to drop it off at a shop and get it done like getting a lift kit and such.

Lol yeah that was the only hard part. As far as hooking up to the signal wire though you don't even have to take the mirror off. I tried it at first and couldn't get my wires fed through from behind the cap, then I realized it was not necessary due to the long wires on the mirror, you can actually install the resistor and diode assembly at the speaker hole.

I took pics as I went I'll be posting a writeup tomorrow.

Yeah I just love the little stuff that you may only notice on the 2nd or 3rd glance. Like the shaved lock hole, antenna, and smoothed out door panels on the highboy. Small things, but they really clean it up.

No hassle is to much when I do my truck. I'm going all out. I want it to be the cleanest 10th gen 4x4 out there. I'm gonna do a cab off resto the frame is gonna be all black and white components like control arms and little stuff like that so the underside is gonna be all black and white I'm going back white on the cab with a ram air type hood that's gonna be black like that lightning you posted. After I get my next truck and trailer done I'm going all out on my truck. I haven't decided what I'm going to do power train wise yet. I'm think a simple rebuild with an s/c just to get it in and out.

And that looks good by the way.

Well doing them isn't really the pain as much as getting in and out with them, and if you ever kill your battery lol that's mainly what I meant about being a hassle. And thanks I like how it turned out
