On the newer ones you can. I think it's under parking aid or something like that.

Lol didn't see your comment, I said the same. On the F-250's there was a button on the dash by the AC vent that you use

I live in the city and have to park around a bunch of other tightly spaced cars / trucks often. The sensor I got is pretty nice, it's supposed to tell me which side the object is closing in on and how far away it is in inches. My buddy offered to help me install it tomorrow for free. I think I may just want a camera anyways. I've been reading different threads on here about them.

I hate both used them cant stand them. Just another way people don't learn to drive or judge the size vehicle they are driving. If that's what was needed to learn to to back up a large vehicle they would install them on commercial trucks and construction vehicles. Sorry Just not a fan of them.

8 years driving a Chevy Malibu, and 2 back surgeries and counting - I am currently shopping for a decent backup camera, just so I don't have to crank my neck around in these tiny parking spots. The Local Meijer was touting their parking lot expansion and getting some 400+ more spaces... Same sized lot, smaller spots! Even if I park perfect, there is maybe 4-6 inches from the edge of my vehicle to the yellow lines.

The fact is, they are beginning to come standard on a lot of commercial vehicles. It reduces liability for companies by decreasing the chances of backing over someone. Look at UPS, Fedex, USPS for example, just to name a few.

Don't look at it as a crutch regarding not learning to drive a particular vehicle, look at them as a safety feature which may save someone's life. So, in saying that, should an iron worker not wear a safety harness because he should know how to walk on iron??

Another thing, if it reduces the chance of myself or my wife backing over a neighbors child, or my own for that matter, I'll take a camera any day.

Like it or not, backup cameras are here to stay.
