Gotts mod yesterday. Black led 3rd brake light, black corners and a black locking fuel door.

I've been wanting to do this ever since I bought my truck new in 02!... It was very easy to do too!

First I just spliced #5 wire (yellow) and #12 wire (brown)... Done a test and it worked, But I didn't want my fog-lights to come on all the time when my headlights were on, Especially with ''high beams''.

So, I took the switch out and took it apart so I could cut the ''clear plastic collar'' (ramp) down... It was very easy to take apart & put back together!

I didn't cut the stems off from the bottom... I just used a small screwdriver to pry up & the top of the stems popped off, and that still left long enough stems on to go back through the holes when I put the faceplate back on!... I used ''Fletch-Tite Platinum Adhesive'' to put on the top of the stems and some around the faceplate.

Then I spliced #2 wire (white/black) and #12 wire (brown).

Put the switch/faceplate back in the dash... Turned the park-lights on, Pulled the dial and the fog-lights will now burn ''without the headlights on'' and will burn without ''high-beams'' on!

Now why didn't Ford do this!...

No problem it was like 35 bucks I think and showed up a day early so I was happy until now
