When I put the 9000's on my 3/4 ton chevy. I got them for $74 each for it.

I like them a lot, Pete. I had a set on my '99 for about two years. The ride was firm, but compliant, if that makes sense. The shocks I pulled off, though, we're thoroughly shot, so just about anything would've been an improvement! I bought them during the rebate period, and Advance matched Amazon' s price, so I pretty much stole them. I have a thread on F150online where I mentioned the price. Seems to me it was less than $30 per unit.

This new set is actually via warranty. I found that one of the front shocks was bad when I pulled them off the '99 intending to swap them over to my' 03. It's possible that my torsion bar twist with stock-length shocks caused the issue, but no problem exchanging them for the slightly longer ones this time.

I pulled the boots off the rears to clean those up, and found a but of corrosion/galling on the rods. I called Tennaco, sent them a couple of pics, and they said they'd exchange them, and wanted to look them over.

The corrosion could also be my fault, as I didn't leave the slit in the boots high enough on the shocks to leave a vent hole, so condensation and/or other moisture had no way to escape.

Just finished installing this set and cleaning up the tools. (Past) time for bed now!

Andy

Also I have already put new fuel pump, IAC, cleaned the throttle body, cleaned maf sensor, and new air filter.
Mine at times takes longer then it should to fire off. But while I was trying to get the Curse control into the mode where I could check it. When I push down on the off cruse button. The engine fires as soon as it turns over.

Mine most of the time starts fine and it seems better than it was. Sometimes it's harder to start in the morning sometimes it's fine and sometimes I can go all day and it be fine. I don't know what to to IM just tired of it but I'll try the cruise control

Well I did drive down to the River today..

Thinking I will hook up to the old boat in the am. And put in there, see if I can catch some good fresh Tn Rivier catfish. And have a fish fry Saturday.

I was getting some other serious noises on my way home from work Friday.

I thought it was the new joints or my rear end going out so I pulled off there rear tires just to see what was going on.

My e-brake shoe had grenaded on the driver side into pieces just big enough to get stuck in there and squeal to high heavens.

Now with all that cleaned out my truck is quiet once again. The new moog 231's are working flawlessly.

Well I feel dumb! After all I went through with the new fuel pump, IAC, vacuum hose, and a lot of frustration my hard start issue was a bad fuel pump relay. Put a new one on yesterday and haven't had any problems yet. Will keep y'all up to date
