My humor looses its funny after I have to explain it.
..I don't worry about waxing because my paint is such bad shape. Auto wash spray wax is all my truck sees. Anything else would be pointless. Even if I decided to wheel and buff the paint to remove the light scratches it would just fill the cracks with compound and look twice as bad. Well actually the bed of the truck would buff out just fine but the closer I got to the front of the truck the worse it would get.
..see jokes aren't funny after they're explained.

No, I haven't tried much of anything. When I first got the truck I'd use blackmagic every week but it was futile. It would only fill and cover the trail kisses, leaving the spider cracks and it would attract more dust.
I think I'm going to put it off till I can't stand it anymore and have it painted or sell it. I've thought about just doing a single stage paint job myself but I haven't touched a spray gun in 15 years and I wasn't good at it even then. I can get away with painting a hood or a roof but blending and big jobs are well beyond my pay grade. I was quoted $5,500 for a complete respray. I'll see how much work and money I put into the drivetrain this year and if I don't go crazy, I'll consider it.
Also, I still scratch the truck every time I load up and go camping so even if I got it painted, I'd still keep getting scratches.

I have a small stihl 170 I take with me on trips. I always seem to take trail that closes up.

I recall you asking about suspension lifts that would allowed you to use factory presets or close. When I research there was just one that allowed the comfy factory ride or as close to it as possible. That was the Rough country lift. Think it was the 4-5". Couldn't locate the answers here back then , went elsewhere and found others searching for the same and that's the lift that stood out above the rest for maintaining ride quality.

Just adding into the list for the money pit. I thought owning an old boat or a muscle car drained money fast, lol. Doing a 4wd truck right will downright beat a man into the ground.

Yea, but once it's done up right....Enjoy looks, sound(quiet, w/deep low rumble personally lol) and the quality ride

Well, I washed her up and had intended to put two coats of wax on her today. I got one coat on the hood and buffed it out and the burgers were ready. So, we sat down to eat and my son got done early so we let him go on and play since we were sitting outside. I didn't think about my wax sitting on the front porch. The boy got into it and put dirt and grass in it ! So, the hood got one coat and the rest of the truck did without. I was a bit pissed, we had a good talk about not touching other people's stuff. Oh well.
I also painted the rear fender wells satin black. The next couple of coats will be bedliner.
