What did you do to your 10th gen today?
i was telling my wife this guy basicaly bought a truck for $1000 max (once you get keys, headlights and grille) the previous owner was strapped for cash extremely bad or just wanted to get rid of this truck bad......... cause you're lookiing at $45-$60 for keys and about $200 to get them programmed.......... (depends on where you live)
I checked the vin at the local registries and police and the vin is clear and ready to be registered.

By the way you said it yesterday I was thinking the column and or computer were fried in the new truck. A key can be cut at any ford dealer for less than 200 for a set. It does not have to be the original dealership either. A friend of mine came to visit me at school and locked his keys in his truck. 300 miles from home I had a new key made and programmed.

Yeah like i said, it depends on where you live, down here we cannot cut keys for our gen trucks anymore unless you have the original, because we "cannot get the key codes anymore" but i think its cause of the machines we use to cut the keys, so we usually send them to a locksmith or someone who makes keys for a living

Ya know, it's really nice having a pre-pats truck. Lol I don't have to worry about losing the key and not being able to drive it, I could get a new one cut and be down the road before yours gets programmed. Lmao

hell i remember when if you needed to have two keys for most vehicles, one to open the doors the other to start the car. haha also i remember when you needed to use your foot for the highbeams. damn i miss my old '78 Ranger

Haha. My grandpa had a car that needed 2 keys. But that was because the ignition switch got replaced and they couldn't key it to the original key. Why did they used to make them like that with 2 different keys?

That's just how it was lol my highboy has two keys. I figured that out by locking it up and realizing the ignition key didn't open it back lol fortunately I broke in and found the door key in the ash tray lol

My old ranger and my bronco 2 both have the 2 key deal. And ford had the floor dimmer switch up until 91 in the broncos.
