#1 way to get more mpg. Sell your truck and buy a moped. Trucks don't get good gas mpg's period.

I owned 5 bikes, 1981 Yamaha 125 enduro, 1997 Suzuki Bandit 600, 1985 Yamaha Virago 1000 or 1100???, 2001 Suzuki GSXR 600, and the Harley I am riding now is actually my Dad's, he hardly ever rides it so I am borrowing it to save gas on my 40 mile a day commute. The Harley is comfortable, but I miss my GXER.

I couldn't do a moped if you paid me, there is a guy a work with that has a diesel VW and a Lotus and bought a 250 cc Moped to save gas, Nope couldn't do it, would rather ride my mountain bike.

I'm sure many guys and gals bought there trucks when gas was a dollar or two cheaper. Gas milage really didn't matter in 97-03 when trucks and suv's were all the craze. It matters now. I remember gas was .69 cpg in the summer of 1997. Go figure I had a Escort at the time.

Cold air intake, be really mellow on the gas. Stop slow and smooth, but I mean it's a truck so your never gonna get good gas mileage. That's out of the question
