Most brush guards don't do much for protection. You really have to get one made by a shop that makes the full sized front end replacements. Still, you can't beat the protection of a front end replacement. The "light bars" that look like roll bars are just that. No protection if you actually happened to role the truck or even from accidentally dropping something on the cab. In the end it all depends on the look you want. Chrome accessories don't mean steel, and they usually are only made out of thin gauge steel when they are.

I'd go with less chrome personally. I thought the king ranch had a chrome grille? and chrome mirrors?
I think if you start chroming stuff now it will be never ending because its already lacking in the chrome department.
Remove the running boards too and show off that two tone paint.

I just removed my bug deflector on mine and it damaged the paint after being on there for so long, so I'd take that off too if I were you!

BTW I love that interior!
If you're planning on removing the rear center console to fit 2 12's, the possibilities are endless for box shape. What I mean is, you wouldn't need to have the shape of box in the pics from the link you added.

Also, the bass is completely different from 10's compared to 12's. Its an impossible comparison! I have 12's in my 98 because no matter what I did with 2 10's it didn't sound deep enough and the bass hits harder with 12's.

Dont cheap out on the wiring though! <<<--- that's the ricer way haha!
2 gauge power and ground wires are a must in my opinion!

As for the exhaust, I have to say I like the cowboy tips on the jacked up trucks but since you're not lifting it and you want to keep it looking somewhat normal, I'd go with dumping a dual setup coming out in front of the rear tire <<<---- and if you want chrome ....I cant argue, a chrome dual tip looks good!

I definitely agree with/like the "stock but custom" look. Might be a good idea to crank those t-bars and maybe add a bigger block in the back to bring the whole thing up a bit, if thats what you're looking for. If you like those rims, then just put some nice tires around them. If not, you can probably find some bigger/different ford rims to fit on there to change it up but keep it looking factory. I have the next generation truck (and 4x4), but I put a leveling kit and some upgraded factory rims with mud terrains and it completely changed the look (and performance) of the truck. I have a flowmaster muffler welded into the stock pipe so it looks stock buts sounds much nicer. Can't really go wrong, but I know it will turn out well. Good luck. Here's mine - I know its different from yours, but you get the idea:

i would not put all that chrome on there, especially if you want to get euro tails. . . truck would looks gross & cheap. like one of those trucks that looks like the owner went into Autozone and bought everything stick on
get some Harley/Lightning headlights to clean up the front, crank your torsions, and get a nice set of wheels/tires

A bug deflector will only damage your paint if u don't have these soft tabs between the hood and the deflector and I have those and I don't have any paint damage

Mine has chaffed away all of the paint. Don't want to take it off because then I'd have to repaint the hood.

That's only somewhat true. It chipped the paint on the edge of the front lip also.... where there is no foam soft tabs.
