Default Upgraded Radiator for SCREW?

While the truck is apart I'm thinking about upgrading the Radiator.

Expedition and F150's both use the same Radiators for the "Tow Package" replacements. Are there any other model Fords that have the same Fitting and hose sizes that would be a better upgrade?

Dimensions of the Expi/F150 Tow radiators are 31.875" x 16.75" x 2.25" w/ 2 Cores

Stock is 31.875" x 17" x 1" w/ 1 Core

The variable between the two I'm concerned with is how much space the internal Transmission cooler lines take up in relation to the Engine coolant.

Do you know of any other HD Ford radiators that would work?

Instead of waiting for answers and suggestions, I went ahead and got the Dual core radiator that's sold for the Tow Package. (Package 535 or 531 #F75H 8005-GB)

Here's the difference between the two radiators I mentioned.

I couldn't source one locally and if I couldn't get one here, then chances of getting one out on the trail would be even slimmer. There wouldn't be much point to upgrading to a rare part.

Just an update. There were no issues with the radiator and no issues with air in the system.

Thank you very much for your work on this post. I discovered a crack in my radiator last night and will be ordering one of these today. Was there anything else you ran into while doing this job?

It's pretty straight forward. The new radiators don't come with the hardware but you can transfer them over from the old radiator.

If you can't find the Ford radiator, Advance, Autozone and Carquest all list 2 core upgraded alternatives to the single core. That's probably a more viable alternative. Easier to find and a better warranty. Good Luck.
