Correct me if I'm wrong,so I would want to look for a short duration, high lift cam?

The longer duration cams aren't going to be as street friendly. Check out some Crane Cams, they have specs and recommendations for everything.

Do any of y'all know the stock cam starting rpm range, like most low rpm torque cams rpm ranges start from 1000 and up

You need a Diesel Engine, they have more Torque. Infact in a Diesel with Manual Transmission, you just need to release the clutch without applying any throttle.

I plan on doing a 4bt swap in another f150, not in this truck, but that's way in the future

Correct me if I'm wrong but stock compression on the 5.4s are 9:0:1 would it be safe and be reliable and have decent longevity if I raised to compression to 9:5:1 or 10:0:1 or alittle more? Info is greatly appreciated

How do you plan to achieve this? Sure 10:1 is fine, even 11:1 works with a good tune and octane.
