Default turn signal / hazard problems

Hello all, I have a turn signal / hazard problem with my 97 F150 that I recently got, the front or rear turn signals quit after hitting a pot hole that was pretty bad, since it has a little over 300,000 miles on it (mostly highway miles), I went ahead and changed out the all the bulbs, fuses (none were blown), new flasher element, and tested the turn signal switch for continuity using the test procedure from a Haynes manual (the turn signal / hazard switch checked out ok according to the manual), the brake lights, and all the other lights work with no problems. When the brake lights are on and you put the turn signal to the left the, left brake light cuts off, right turn right brake light cuts off, turn the hazard on and both brake lights go out. Any one got any ideas?

You are pretty informed on your trouble shooting, keep going, you will probably find a corroded ground so the circuit is backfeeding into another bulb.

do you have tilt wheel ? is it in the lowest position ? if so remove cover colum and check the harness plug in , it will most likely be loose.
