my friend got this granatelli fuego programer for his mustang the other da. he told me i could use it on my truck if i wanted. but i wont work on my truck... why is this

It may be VIN locked to the Mustang or it could just be that it has a different ECU..

Its won't match your ECU/PCM. Ford made 100s of IDs for all there vehicles.

its not locked to the mustang because it can be used on up to 6 cars

different ecu/pcm..... its not really dumb if you think about it. differances in vehicles means more parts sales, more parts sales means more money. think about it from a business stand point, you would do the same thing!!!
