Default Trying to improve my MPG

So I was thinking about switching to those E3 spark plugs, adding a cold air intake and some kind of Aftermarket exhaust. But I don't want to spend $300+ for the intake just because of the name on the box, I dont want an exhaust that will make my truck sound like a suzuki that some teenager with a backwards hat ruined, and I've never heard any consumer feedback on the E3 plugs, will they even work in 4.2. I realize I'll never get hybrid milage but every little bit helps, so I'll listen to anything anybody has to say.

Don't use the E3 plugs. From what I've been hearing stick with the stock plugs, not aftermarket.

Find a knockoff CAI on Ebay or in a Summit Racing or Jegs catalog and it should do fine. I've seen some around like $120 that should do fine... I don't think you can do a Gotts mod on the 4.2, but it's possible.. just opening the intake and putting a bigger tube on it.

Exhaust.. you can buy a Flowmaster.. it should sound good.

I'm a bit of a noob here what is the "Gotts mod" I have a 4.2 also all I did was put a stock K&N replacement in and dremel 1/3 off the stock air box.

Getting 18-19 city/hwy avg using 89oct gas and stock everything else except the Bosch plat 2 that I put in durring my tune up at 130K miles.
