Default good deal?

I am looking at buying my first truck. I am looking at a 1998 Ford F150 XLT regular cab,longbox,4.6L ,with only 94K on it(estate sale). I can get it for $5600.Is this a good value? I won't be towing with the vehicle.Any thoughts?

I wouldn't say its the deal of the century, but it seems like a fair price and is pretty typical for what a truck like that would sell for here in South Dakota.

I purchased my 98 lariat 5.4 liter extended cab 4X4 woth tow package and loaded last year for 6000.00. It had 120k on the odometer. Great shape, no issues.

Okay deal, not the best, but fair. If you like the truck get it!

I picked up a 2000 extended cab with 5.4, tow package, 64k miles for $4300 about 1.5 years ago but think I got a pretty good deal. No issues.

Well, I bought the 98 F150 XLT. It seems like a very good truck. I hope I have as much satisfaction as most of you seem to have with their F150's on this site. Thanks for the feedback and I'll keep you posted.

Now that you bought it, it's a little late to say check to see if the 4WD works... I bought mine with 69k on the clock and the transfer case shift fork was going bad, didn't really know that I didn't have 4WD until this last winter when we really got nailed.

Quick Reply: good deal?
