Truck dies when wheel is turned all the way to one side.
I recently bought a 97 ford f150 4x4. The truck was stumbling between 40 and 50 mph. I read a thread on here about someone with the same problem. I changed the plugs and the wires. They were in pretty bad shape. Some of the wires weren't even showing resistance. Pretty rusty too. I checked the primary and secondary resistance on both coil packs. The readings on the primarys ranged between .6 and .9 ohms. The secondarys ranged from 12.8-13.2Kohms. The manual says that 11.5 Kohms is the highest range, but when I checked a new one at the parts store, it read 14Kohms. What is the resistance supposed to be? Do you think I popped a vacuum hose when I was changing plugs? The truck shakes a little at Idle speed, but the stumbling at 40-50 mph stopped. The power feels like it is there. The truck is a 97 f150 4x4 with a 4.6. The ignition is EI.
