It's none of the above so will just have to start looking at different years, I would call it a dark charcoal.

I found the same colors on a different site and the charcoal blue looks right so I will have to find a chart and look at it in person.

If that's not it, seriously find a good auto body paint supply store. They can help you match it. If not, they aren't that good. Mine was matched by eye. All he did was said "park it in the sun" and 10 minutes later I was holding a can of exact match color.

This can is for my Expedition, but I wanted to just show you the can mine came in. They mix it and fill it right there in house.

I agree with GT, and also commented on having an auto paint supplier match it. With the computer systems for paint today, it will come out almost perfectly matched. That by far is better than trying to run down paint chips and them come up a shade or two off. Let the pros find your color and then you get the code and save it for future reference.

Also to the OP. If the truck was done in-house by a dealer, check inside your owners manual and see if they recorded the second color. Most dealers do this incase they have to do a repair a number of years later. It may not be there, but it is usually written somewhere. If you know the original dealer (I doubt you do) then they can tell you if they did the upgrade paint. I'm guessing that the dealer didn't after seeing the front bumper painted also. I believe a prior owner made these changes honestly. It does look good, so whomever did it, made it right. Good luck.

CX — Dark Shadow Gray (body side moulding) is shown on the chart for your year truck. Have your paint store double check the color vs the code. If the dealer did it, that should be your match. If not, then someone else did it and you need pro help matching. JMO.

Usually doesnt matter.

If the truck is a base metallic + clear coat, a trim paint doesnt match worth a flip. You need a paint shop to match it and paint it, or you just make it look worse. Even when a paint shop mixes a touch up to match, it doesnt.

I agree 100% with that comment. The only problem we have here is who did the flares, and what paint they used. They could of shot this and the bumper cover in an Enamel, which would make the can a fine idea. If it base/clear was used, then you are correct. It won't look worth a damn if you use an enamel or lacquer to refinish an area. You might have to repair the whole flare for an even coverage.

I have a good friend that owns a body shop so he will mix the base and clear for plastic for me, if I can get It close I will paint the whole trim piece. But first I have to get the right color.

No where in the manual or glove box was there any paint codes written down, I'm going to look at KW, L2 and CX with CX looking like the closest.

The only factory trim color for silver metallic in 2003 was dark shadow grey metallic. Only on xlt.

Since the top bumper cover also matches, looks stock to me. It will need to be matched regardless. Could have been dealer added .

Still waiting to find out if the owner has skid plates. If so, then it a factory treatment style update. 2003 shows this very package with the FX4 labels on the back. Identical, but OP has only the trim code of CX listed on his tab. I have to think the dealer did the upgrade, since the codes are only YN on this one shown by the OP.
Here is a picture of the FX4 with YN and CX codes.
