Default Transmission Fluid Confusion?

Okay, getting ready to drop the transmission pan (4r100) on my 2000 F150 5.4L. I've researched online what type of fluid to use but now I'm seriously confused because some people say to use Mercon, some say Mercon V, others say Mobile ATF. Back in the day transmission fluid was transmission fluid, the same stuff worked on all cars but not now. Which fluid is the right fluid to use in my 2000 4r100?

Never figured it would be so hard to find Trans fluid. But have not found any Mercon V at any of the parts places near me. Did find one that was Mercon LV I think that was what it was.

The Walmart by me has plenty of Supertech Merc V on the shelf, $4.25/qt.
Valvoline Maxlife Dex/Merc is also compatable (does not specifically say it on the bottle, but an e-mail I got from Ashland (maker of Valvoline) said it is compatable).

I have used both (8 qts of Supertech and 5 qts of Maxlife) and they both seem to work fine (fixed the OD shifting "thud" I was having).

I've heard good things about "Amsoll", I think i'll try it if I can find it. I've also heard "Marvel Mystery Oil" is good for Ford transmissions. Is this true? I've used it in my engines before but not transmissions.
