Default trans slipping.

Hello all,
I have a 2000 5.4 v8 4x4 super cab. recently i put the truck away for about 2 months and when I went to take it out the trans was acting funny. i thought nothing of it at first. I thought that it was just being funny from sitting. But the problem wont go away. what my truck is do is, when it starts its fine and idle normal but i put it in gear the rmps boost to about 1200 and the trans shifts then the truck starts to move. but i come to the end of my drive way and while i sit ( waiting for traffic) the trans seems to go back to neutral. so i have to sit and tap the gas and it will re-engage. i have checked fluids and no blown fuses. Has anyone had this same issue or know would could be wrong.

Ah yes, sorry i forgot to put that in my first post. But it does do it all the time. it seems to do it a lot more when it is cold. once it warm only so often but it does still happen.
