I want to upgrade to a larger external trans cooler on my 4.6 f150. Im confused as to what size cooler I should get. Many people are telling me to get the largest cooler I can find (something like a class A motorhome 20,000gvwr cooler). Is it really true that the cooler the trans runs the better or does the transmission have a optimum heat range to run in?

Well you can always just multiply (LXHXW) to get the volume. Then just try and find a cooler with the biggest volume you can fit in your truck.
