Default Tranny Problems, Need advice.

Hi guys,
I have a 1997 4x4 F150 with about 158000 miles in it. The truck runs pretty good but seems to have a problem with the tranny/ torque converter. When it is cold, it doesnt really want to shift but it will eventually. It doesnt slip, just seems delayed. Also, sometimes when decellerating, the downshifts are a little rough. And today when driving on the highway it had a very noticable shudder/ vibration when in o/d. At cruising speeds there is a metallic rattle that I can hear. And shifting into reverse or drive there is a clunk that can be heard outside, but not inside.

I did some searching and these seem to be symptoms of a failing torque converter. What do you guys think?

Thanks.
