Traction Bars!
Hey guys I got my procomp lateral traction bars installed now and I'm writing a little review. Quality of the bars seems very strong with good nice penetrating welds, that's comes powder coated black, by the weight of one you can tell it's a string product, the mounts seem very strong too, made out of 1/4in steel plate, installion seemed fairly easy.
Installation:
1.block front tire on level asphalt or concrete driveway
2. Take off the rear wheels (make sure to jack up on the pumpkin)
3. Get 2 trusted jack stands and put them under the frame right before it angles up between cab and bed and lower truck on to them. (Always keep jack under pumpkin)
4. It's easy to do a side at a time, so pick a side and loosen the ubolts or cut them out, my ubolts are 9/16th with 7/8 nuts, once loose lower the Jack enough to be able to slide out the stock block or lift block from between axel and leaf spring.
5. Drill a hole the size of the Allen head bolt threads that come with mounting kit, your drilling into the little stub at the bottom of the block, the straighter the hole the easier the install.
6. Once drilled slip Allen head bolt in whole and put the supplied not on the backside and tighten. What this step is doing is making the block stud longer so it can reach all the way through the new bracket you will be putting between axel and

Old block that you drilled.
7. Set bracket in axel pad and put block on making sure the Allen bolt is going through the axel pad.
8. Raise axel with jack and align the leaf spring stud with the hole on the top of the block.
9. Once all aligned, install ubolts and tighten and torque to spec.
10. Repeat for other side
11. Bolt tracking bars to axel mount, and install front mount on the traction bar.
12. Hold up the front bracket(while connected to traction bar) to the gram and mark your holes, there's 3 for each side.
13. Drill all holes the install all bolts and tighten.
14. Go for a test drive for about 10 min then retighten ubolts again!
