I have a buddy who has a '01 xl model f150. He is looking for some tow mirrors that extend out pass the stock ones. Basically a whole new setup. Anyone out there know where to get some????? Thanks.

try **** i think thats the name i found them on ebay the manual ones were like 300 and the power ones was about fifty more but i am wondering if the ones off of a 05-08 or the 09 would fit our trucks i know one boy told me he hadf-250 mirrors on his he just had to trim the plastic. i thought about doin that to mine

That's what I thought too, anyone else have thoughts?

Always felt the standard mirrors are sufficient, now if a camper is installed extending over the bed side then you need the extending mirrors. Have no problem launching or parking the boat in its garage, except when the radio antenna was left up, then it lost to the 10 foot high opening.

True Bill, but my buddy has tool boxes that run the whole length of the truck and stick out about 6 inches from the side of the bed. It is hard for him to see traffic if you know what I mean.
