torsion keys/lift blocks instead of body lift?
I have an 01 F150 and have ordered a 3" body lift... I dont plan on doin any off roading, just want some height for looks. I was wondering if I got a 2.5" leveling kit and an add a leaf kit or blocks, could I get the sameish results without the truck looking like it's sitting off the frame? I'm not sure how bad a body lift looks in person but from searching through here a lot of guys are kind've against them. right now I have the Torsion bars cranked up for 2" (did a front end alignment) and the truck is nice and level, thought a body lift would look good until I started reading

i would go with the keys and new blocks it gives you clearance unlike a body lift you will get about the same lift but you will have to have it re aligned but if it was my truck id go with keys and blocks but thats just my opinion i just dont like the looks of body lifts to me its kinda pointless

i agree with Dnasty when i bought my truck the T bars where crancked up all the way i had to spin 1000 dollars to fix the front cuz it destroyed every thing :[ an there went my lift money

i got my t bars cranked and a body lift and have had no problems. the tbars have been cranked for almost two years. and body lifts arent that bad if u do it just make sure theres gap guards and you will barely b able to tell theres a body lift because an f150 with a 3" body lift shows as much or less frame rail at the bottom than a stock chevy does

yes, very well said, the f150s supriseingly dont show a lot of frame with body lifts, accept in the front above the tow hooks, but its well worth it, just crank the stock keys, and get it alighed, dont waste your money on aftermarket keys
heres mine with 3 inch body and cranked t-bars

Hey ! My son has the basic 2001 2WD F150XL single cab work truck V6. I would love to do the 3" for him to get him a little more flexibility on AT tire size. What IS the answer for blocks & leaf kits for NO offroad use ? ok? or bad idea ?
