Can anyone help clear this up? I found a good deal on a topper off of a regular cab and want to fit it on my ext. cab.

Will a topper shell from a 97-03 regular cab flareside fit on an 01 extended cab flareside?

bed is the same but I am hearing conflicting things about the back of the cab. I was told one was steeper or the other was angled toward the front. Also heard that a topper from one would fit on the other, but not vice versa.

Isn't it the exact same bed? Maybe I'm not understanding correctly. They should be completely interchangeable.

I am not 100%, but I would think that the topper will fit. You have the same bed. Try it and find out, but I would say it is a go.

It will fit. My buddies cap off his 97 standard cab fits my 98 xtended cab. both are flare sides.
