Cool Tires And Rim Size?!

Hi! I am new to this site, need your opinion if a size 305x45x22 tire/rim would fit to a '99 F150 4x2. Has anyone tried this before? Did you experience rubbing? Present tire size and rim now is 265x70x16.
Would appreciate your help.

Thanks

Mondel

go to this link and put in the tire you have now as the stock and the one you want and it will tell you the difference in size http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html . I had 33's on a 97' 4x4 I dont know what the differences are.

I was just reading in Petersens 4 wheeler magazine the other day, and it had a chart of what tire size you can fit with/without a lift. A 305/70 is about a 34 in. tire. According to the chart, the largest you can go without a lift is 33, without rubbing. anything over it was 2-6 inches for most tires, unless youre going really big. i plan to go with a 315/70 which comes to almost a 35 in tire, and im nervous I might be rubbing.

Hope that helped
