Default tire size help

I have a 2000 XLT 2WD and i'm in need of new tires and my stock size tires just aren't big enough. i'm thinking about getting 32's but don't know if they will rub let alone fit. and if it makes a difference, i'm also lifting the front an inch and a half b4 getting new tires. any help would be great.

btw i'm new to the forums so if theres already a thread for this sorry i missed it.

With a 2" level kit you can fit 32's just fine....

I just bought this for my truck.

Should have it on in the next few weeks, then planning on 265/75 BFG AT's
I'm not sure if I'll need to lift the rear or not. I'll throw some pics up when I do it.

I was going to do a leveling kit and 285/78/16's But thought they would be too wide for my stock rims. They're rated for a 7.5-9" rim. You think I could get away with them on my stock rims? New rims are not an option for my wi...I mean for me

They lied to you...they will be just fine. I have ran the setup hundreds of times.

This link is for beefin. They talk about tire sizes for 2wd in here.

I just pulled the specs off of BFG's site...I should have figured I could stretch it by 1/2 inch. I think I'll do the 285's, they're 32.8's. Do you have any pics of the 285's on a stock rim? I've seen 265's on stock rims and they don't look like they're bulging over the rim too bad. Also, have you had any wear issues with the 285's?

Here's the only one I got on my phone right now but I'm posting the same 285/75/16 tire on a 16x10" wide rim....as you can see there's no problem running the same tire on a 7" -10" wheel....
