Default Tire load ratings??

Im in the process of finding new tires for my truck. Mainly looking at a/t or muds that still will do ok on the hwy. But I notice there is a large price difference between normal tires and load rated E tires. I dont haul to much, maybe a decent trailer from time to time. Are load E tires really needed? upsides and downsides to the 2?

Load E tires are made for towing all the time. If you really don't tow that much then you may not want them, but with a load e range tire you get more plys in the tire and this helps with making a stronger tire. You don't have to worry about slashes or punctures as much with a load e range. I have load e on my truck and like them a bunch. Wouldn't go with anything else, but I do have a work trailer that I tow around with me quite a bit.
