Ticking noise
Gotta 2003 f150 with a 4.6 and 95,000 k on it and i'm hearing a ticking noise on the right side at idle and slow speed ( more noticeable when driving along a wall like a drive thrue) Sounds like it's comming from the # 1 cylinder. Can this be a bad plug ( bosch platnum) or an exaust leak or even the vavle train???

Yes the Bosch platinum plugs are bad. They are junk.. They are crap.. My Bosch certified techs will not install them in anything. I don't think the spark plug is causing the tap. It is prolly a cam follower if its not a bad spark plug boot.

Ticking noise update
Finally found my problem. Had a plug fire out of the head and brokr the plastic shell of the coil. Gonna get the Ford plugs this time. Are coils expensive?
