Default Ticking coming from passenger side

So the truck is just about to hit 100k. Been doing a lot of matenence on it, new differential fluids, new transfer case fluid, did the spark plugs a few months ago, seafoamed through the gas and vacuum line, new fuel filter, etc....

I am thinking that it might be a bad COP that is making the ticking, from what ive read. Is that what it is? and if so is there any way of knowing which one to replace? I dont think i want to replace all of them since they are 200+ for a set.

Double check spark plugs. My ticking was from a plug loosening up.

100% agree. Mine was ticking bad! Did the plugs, and BAM! Ticking was gone, gas millage went up, and more power. A friend of mine at work has a '01 and...same thing.

+1 on the exhaust leak too. That's what I thought it was at first. I tightened it up (got a full turn out of two of them) on the passenger side, and the tick was quieter for a week or two. Another plug went out, and ran like S. Changed them and all is well.

Good luck man!
